talkabstract = "Abstract: I will discuss the possibility that Lorentz Invariance (LI) is `only' an accidental symmetry of low energy physics. The very stringent bounds on violations of LI imply that the models without a fundamental LI must be extremely fine tuned, unless some (very efficient) mechanism enforces the emergence of LI at low energies. I will describe two recent mechanisms which can accomplish the feat, and their main observational signatures."
